Without a doubt, flying has become an integral part of modern society. From business professionals to travel enthusiasts, the speed and convenience of flying helps makes their aspirations a reality. However, even the most avid frequent flyer will admit that the experience isn’t always top-notch. Long lines, trips through security, uncomfortable seating accommodations, and flight delays all contribute to the feeling that air travel isn’t all it could be.

1. Convenience

A private aircraft charter provides you with a great deal of convenience. Even with extremely short notice, you can use private charters to hop on a jet and head to your important business meeting, family emergency, or any other engagement. For major airlines, you typically need to reserve your seat weeks or months in advance, and even then, mistakes are costly and frustrating to resolve.

2. Speed

Because you’re not dealing with the size and bureaucracy of a major airline, there are many instances where you can arrange a direct flight to smaller airports and cities that a major airline can’t justify including on their itinerary. This means you can get where you need to go more quickly and directly. Most travelers remember certain times where they could have reached their destination in a short time if they could have just headed straight there, but their flight had to land in a major city instead.

3. Luxury

In essence, you are renting your own jet for an individual trip, similar to how you might hire a limousine on the ground. You might also think of it like a timeshare, but for a jet. Regardless of how you look at it, you can expect luxuries that you just couldn’t find on a commercial airline, such as sleeping quarters, excellent meal catering, Internet/fax machines, etc.

 src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">

4. Flexibility

It just isn’t possible to give everyone excellent service on a commercial airline without having at least as many stewardesses as there are passengers. Fortunately, when you fly by private aircraft charter, you receive an unparalleled in-flight customer service experience. You can also choose among a number of different types of jets, from ultra-light up to heavy aircraft.

5. Reliability

One of the biggest benefits to flying by private aircraft charter is that it can work well with your busy schedule. If you find yourself needing to get somewhere quickly, you can figure out a way to get to your destination with a private charter. The reason why aircraft charters are different is that they take the level of customer service to a whole new level beyond what commercial airlines can achieve. Private jet charter service prides itself on catering to your needs and your schedule.

The first thing you should consider is why you want to be a helicopter pilot. As wonderful as it is to fly, you must understand that will be a costly endeavor and will require a lot of time and capital. This can be done slowly over time if you just want lessons but if you plan to make a career out of flying, you are going to have to commit that this is the path you want to take. Some Helicopter Schools charge as much as 5000 dollars just for basic training and instruction.

The next bit of business is to make sure you pass the physical. All helicopter pilots are required to pass a special physical to make sure they are fit to fly. This is not too difficult to pass but it something to keep in mind. When you have this out of the way, you will need to start researching helicopter schools. You shouldn’t have a problem finding a local school. You can call your local airports and heliports who will point you in the right direction. Another place to look is online. There are quite a few helicopter school directories that will give you local results. If all else fails call your local community colleges and university as they sometimes have programs. This is actually a good way to go if you want to become a commercial pilot.

To continue on about commercial piloting, it is very important to find a school that specializes in your field of interest. For example, the requirements will be far greater to become a law enforcement or government pilot. The good news is that you can apply for grants and special programs to cover your training and school costs. Corporate and ENG (Electronic News Gathering) will be much more relaxed as far as piloting goes but a lot more stressful in terms of having to be on call more frequently, especially when it comes to EGN. Corporate can be anywhere from personal transport for global companies or drop off/pick up for oil rigs.

All the careers mentioned are available to anyone who has the drive and the determination to be a helicopter pilot. With a large portion of Vietnam Era helicopter pilots heading towards retirement, there is great compensation and benefits as it is vital to replace them with a new generation of well trained pilots. When you do enroll in class do not miss any days or lessons. This is not like your History class you can blow off. You need to take this very seriously as you will be responsible for the lives of others. Now that you have a basic outline, it’s time to write up a plan and get working on your dream.

Pilot cars means that you’ve seen them – pickup trucks or cars driving in front of a tractor trailer pulling a very wide load. And the people who drive them are professionals who specialize in that form of driving. You may have thought that those cars and trucks were part of a team, but in fact the pilot car driver is usually someone contracted to get the load through a particular state. So what does it take to be a pilot driver? Read on and find out.

There is a certain amount of equipment your vehicle will require. For instance, you will need a fire extinguisher, a CB radio, flags, and an oversize load sign. It goes without saying that you need a highly reliable vehicle capable of handling long drives. It is important to have the equipment required by the states in which you work. Equipment requirements can vary from state to state

Gathering together the equipment you need is the easy part. The hard part is living the lifestyle necessary to be successful in the industry. The life of a pilot car is very similar to a truck driver in that it requires many hours of driving with limited interruptions. Just like truck drivers, they are paid by the mile. So the more miles you can drive in a day, the more you can earn.

There is one area where these drivers are at a disadvantage relative to their companion truck drivers – the pilot car driver has nowhere to sleep! When the day is done, a pilot car driver must find a hotel. This adds to his time on the road and is an additional expense to consider.

There is also a certain level of danger associated with driving a pilot car. There may be times when quick lane changes or other repositioning is required to accommodate the needs of the wide load vehicle. Timidity is not a trait that will lead to success in this field. Sometimes require aggressive driving.

This type of driving is not something that you should just decide to do with no training. Your best bet to get into the field is to find an experienced driver who will allow you to ride along, and later maybe even drive the vehicle yourself. The wider the load, and the more difficult the situation, the higher the level of training that will be required to drive safely and effectively.

Pilot car driving is not an easy life, and it definitely requires a high level of concentration and determination. But if driving is what you love, and you are willing to live a lifestyle similar to a trucker, then it is a profession that you might find very satisfying.

When an oversize load escort is required, locating qualified pilot cars quickly is critical, and Comdata has your solution. They have developed one of the most comprehensive networks of independent pilot car drivers in North America. With Comdata, your truck is ready to move, accompanied by a qualified pilot car escort, saving you the time-consuming task of tracking down drivers and vehicles.

Now days, anyone can fly. Not only in a commercial plane but anyone with the right frame of mind and desire can learn how to fly themselves. It is not as hard as you might think. There are a slew of independent web sites that can have the wannabe pilot up and running in a very short time.

Most of these online schools cost anywhere from two thousand dollars all the way up to ten thousand. They range from eleven days to several weeks in length. Do some research into what works well with your schedule and decide the best fit before committing to anything. Also make sure they are an accredited school and your license will be much easier to get.

These classes are fun and informative. You start out by learning the technical aspects of flying, including the rules and regulations of airspace. These guidelines are important to understand when learning to fly. Next, you move on to hands-on interaction with certified instructors. You will learn the ins and outs of the cockpit and the entire plane itself. In order to fully know what you are doing, this approach is key. Be safe first and then have fun with your newly acquired skills.

Keep in mind that passing these first tests does not qualify you for flight. Gaining full status to fly is a longer process but a necessary one. A certain number of hours must be completed in the air before becoming a fully functioning member of the airborne, aviation community. Once this process is complete, your work is over and now the real fun begins.

So what can one do with an aviation license? What activities are fun and available to a fully licensed pilot? First is the possibility of owning your own plane. If you own your own plane, the possibilities for recreation are endless.

Where have you always wanted to go but could not because of time constraints and lack of money? When you are the pilot, no where is off limits. Been meaning to go to Ireland? Jamaica? No problem, since now you have your own plane and can fly there yourself.

Not to mention you bypass the headache everyone must face now in going to the airport. Why wait in line for hours and go through security checkpoints when you can take off whenever you want and go wherever you want? Flying can now become a fun, relaxing, educational experience rather than the excruciating pain it is now.

Another recreational activity that can be done with flying is skydiving. Skydiving is enjoyed by thousands of people each year. One of the most gratifying experiences is conquering your fear of heights, getting a rush from the free-fall or just plain doing something new and exciting.

For first time skydivers, tandem diving is recommended. With this method, you do not need to learn how to skydive at all but can still enjoy the feeling. A trained professional is connected to you while you jump and they do all the necessary work as you have all the fun. Sounds like a good combination? It is.

For other more seasoned skydivers, there is always the accelerated free-fall. In this method, a person can move faster towards their goal by completing this as a first jump and getting closer to full certification. This is for serious jumpers that intend to continue skydiving for some time.

So, all of this fun and excitement stems from the wonderful invention and profession of aviation. So many opportunities presented themselves when the first plane was flown. Whether one experiences it first hand by learning to fly and becoming a pilot or uses a plane to take a trip or to participate in a fun activity such as skydiving, everyone benefits from its practice.

If you have looked at all the pros and cons of chartering a private jet and decided that you would like to charter a jet then you need to look at a few very important points before choosing a company. Look at testimonials from customers and get a feel about the company.

All companies have different rules, restrictions and guidelines and so researching several is a good idea before deciding on one particular private jet charter company. This can be done online and shouldn’t take you more than a couple of hours at most.

Many established private jet chartering companies have a fleet of jets and this is great news if you are looking for something in particular like a spacious jet with plenty of room. Business people may want more space to work on their laptops, hold a business meeting or just have the luxury of being able to stretch out and relax.

You may want to charter a private jet with a large number of seats if you have a big party of people to transport. You should be able to view detailed photos of the private jets online showing layouts of the interior. Even if you have a specific jet in mind you should still examine all the jets available for private charter.

Safety is paramount when choosing a company to charter a private jet with. Air travel is very safe and it’s highly likely that you will reach your destination with no problems, but accidents do happen and you should be able to access reports online that discuss any airline accidents if the company in question was involved with one.

Although cost shouldn’t be the most important point in question if you are traveling on a budget you will want to do business with a private jet charter company that has reasonable rates. However don’t compromise quality or safety when deciding on a company to use. With a little bit of online research you should find a jet chartering company that has an excellent safety record, good reputation, a selection of jets to choose from and reasonable rates.

The points mentioned here in this article are just a few of many that you need to look into. Be aware that if something seems to good to be true it probably is. Taking your time and doing a little bit of research will ensure that you have a positive and happy experience travelling onboard your private charter jet.

Charter a Private Jet with NovaJet and you step into a world of unparalleled service and personalized attention to detail. With their private air charter concierge service, no request is too great or too small. It’s what distinguishes us as Toronto’s preferred Executive Jet Charter choice. And it means you can simply sit back and enjoy a perfect Charter flight. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week they offer full service aircraft charter, aircraft management, and acquisition services to domestic and international organizations. NovaJet is more than just a private jet charter company; they are a fiscally responsible solution to all your executive corporate travel needs.

Ballooning is one of the oldest means of flight and promises an enjoyable and scenic day out, hot air ballooning is probably the slowest way to fly and probably not the safest but as far as being the most spectacular it’s hard to beat. Booking a hot air balloon ride is fairly easy and common there are lots of Hot Air Balloon company’s providing excellent flying experience.

Before taking the plunge and booking a flight check out the company and it’s pilots experience as making sure the company has been certified by the CAA and the pilots are qualified and have a good safety record.

I started off going to Hot Air Balloon festivals there are some great shows around UK, Europe and the States the biggest being the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta which is held in October every year. In Britain we have 2 good Hot Air Balloon festivals the biggest being the Bristol Balloon Festival and it was great lots to do and see as well multiple Balloon launches over two hundred balloons took part.

Hot Air Balloons come in a lot of different shapes and sizes depending on the usage the really large ones are used to carry more people and sometimes you can see these saw for miles as they must contain the ability to carry more weight and more fuel on board.

Hot Air Balloons are difficult to pilot and must be flown in the early morning or in the evening as these are the times that the air is most still and manageable for the pilot. During the day there can be too much interference from thermals lots of hot air rising that can cause the hot air balloon to be unstable.

So if you book a balloon trip and its early in the morning don’t forget it can very cold at altitude sensible clothing and a woolly hat are recommended items. Listen carefully to the safety brief from the balloon centre paying attention often makes for a safe landing.

Knowing what to expect does not prepare you for the feeling seeing the burner heating the balloon and standing in the basket waiting for the lift off which is carefully controlled by the pilot to be smooth as not to rise too rapidly.

Once in the air the you see the world from a totally unexpected way as you glide almost silently across the land. Some countries that have wild animals this is one the greatest ways of seeing wildlife in the natural stat without disturbing them.

Having been on many balloon rides in the UK and Europe as well as Africa I can recommend that this is an experience that you will never forget. However on the one in Africa I was a little pre occupied with not coming down in a heard of lions or something else. Fortunately as you will find out the balloons are tracked with GPS so that the support vehicle so that they can quickly pack up the Hot Air Balloon when it lands.

A hot air balloon is steered by the pilot understanding that air at different heights moves in different directions and the pilots skill is to interpret the weather for the day and adjust the height of the balloon to go in the correct direction for the day’s planned flight.

Riding the skies at dusk and dawn is a real thrill and looking down at our busy way of life while drifting across the sky makes for a real fun day out. I urge you to put this on one of your to do before you die lists and get out there and cloud hop across sky.

Helicopters are one of the most versatile vehicles ever invented. Their unique ability to hover in mid-air, fly sideways, backwards and being able to land in a space no bigger than a tennis court make them uniquely suited to perform a wide variety of tasks. These are some of the many professional helicopter pilot positions that are available now and will continue to be available into the foreseeable future.

I. Emergency Medical Services (EMS)- These are the helicopters that respond to life threatening emergencies on our nations interstates, highways, and local roads. EMS helicopter pilots usually fly as a single pilot and sometimes in weather that is less than favorable. The flight time requirements differ but for the most part you will need a minimum of 2000 hrs of pilot in command (PIC) flight time in order to be considered a competitive candidate. As far as who you’ll be working for…most EMS helicopters are owned by a company that is separate from the hospital. The company leases out the pilots and the helicopters to the hospital. Notice that I said most. There are hospitals that directly employ EMS helicopters and their pilots.

II. Electronic News Gathering (ENG)- Pilots who fly Electronic News Gathering missions report on traffic conditions, cover local events like parades and festivals and also give us that wonderful coverage of high and low speed police chases. These pilots usually work a split shift that corresponds with the morning and evening rush hours and are on call in case of developing stories.

III. Government Agencies- The federal, state, and local governments offer a wealth of flying opportunities. On the Federal level agencies such as the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency), ICE (immigration and customs enforcement), NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), DHS (Department of Homeland Security) as well as others offer flying opportunities that are diverse and wide-ranging. On the state levels state departments of transportation and wildlife.

IV. Military- Military flying can be one of the most rewarding types of flying. In government and military flying money is less of an issue. Excellent training is the norm and you could be flying some of the most advanced helicopters on some of the most exciting missions.

V. Law Enforcement- Flying for state and local law enforcement can also be very rewarding. In most law enforcement agencies they hire pilots from within the ranks of ground officers. So, if you want to fly for a state or local law enforcement agency you can expect to be an officer on the ground for a few years

VI. Petroleum Support- Petroleum support pilots fly workers and equipment from on shore locations to off shore oil rigs. They usually stay at bases strategically located near the rigs and will work an extended number of days and than have an extended number of days off. (for example 7 days on and 7 days off). In the United States most of these pilots work along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and some work in Alaska.

These helicopter pilot careers are available to anyone who desires a career as a professional pilot. They all offer challenge, adventure, excitement, and financial rewards. If any of these positions interest you, research what skills you need to acquire the position. Put a plan of action in place and act on that plan.

1. Be at the airport on time.

Isn’t it stressful to race through the security and immigration with just a short period of time; knowing that you may get offloaded if you don’t get to process all the papers you need? The stress you get from this experience can really turn you into a stressed out passenger when or if you finally get onto the plane. Travel stress brought by this kind of situation may be avoided by allotting more time for all the things you need to do at the airport.

2. Get the best seat!

Studying the aircraft configuration before you travel will help you get the best seat. You will have more time to request for a seat with more legroom especially when you reserve online.

3. Dress comfortably.

Remember that you will have to sit and stay in one position for several hours and the least you can do to make yourself comfortable during these hours is to make sure that the clothes and the shoes you are going to wear don’t make hard situation harder.

4. Do not eat and drink a lot.

Your digestive system is not in its optimum condition when you are seated in a confined space. Remember to eat only in moderation before traveling otherwise you’ll have an uncomfortable time while on the plane. Moreover, you should be aware that alcohol has more severe effects when the body is in pressurized environments such as an airplane cruising at a high altitude.

5. Drink plenty of water.

Do not forget that it is very dry inside the plane because the air inside is just re-circulated. This might cause you dehydration and to counteract the effect, you’ve got to drink plenty of water.

6. Walk the aisles.

Long haul flights often make people feel sore, bloated and stiff. This is because the muscles could not react easily to the situation of not being used for a long time. Try walking the aisles to give your muscles some exercise.

7. Noise cancelling headphones can help!

The noise especially when the plane is on the highest altitude can really cause you a lot of stress. There is nothing wrong with investing on some headphones that are designed to cancel the noise that surrounds you on the plane. You may have to spend some dollars on these headphones but you are assured that you will have a stress free travel because you can be on the go right after getting off the plane.

Stress is everywhere and it only depends on the person how he is going to avoid the things that may put him into a stressful situation. When it comes to travel, it’s very important that you follow the above given tips to ensure that you’ll reach your destination looking fresh, excited and raring to experience fun and adventure!
